Mixed-use tower in the King Abdullah Financial District of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 70,000sqm, 23 stories, retail, offices and residential, pool and spa. LEED Silver Building.
The ground floor contains an office lobby along the main street and a residential lobby wrapping around an inner courtyard. The large floor plates of the lower levels contain retail and office space. Large terraces start where the building starts stepping back including a roof garden with pool adjacent to a spa. The building has full floor luxury apartments where it narrows to the top.
The facade consist of protruding pilasters providing the required shadow for this climate, with open but fully shaded terraces inboard from the pilasters. The facade is clad in limestone in a relatively geometric pattern, giving it a restrained and timeless character contrasting with neighbouring glass and metal clad towers in this entirely new constructed district.
