GAZPROM, St-Petersburg, Russia
Gazprom's HQ tower, a 400+m high-rise in St-Petersburg, was developed by an international design team.
The competition winning design was done in the UK, the high-rise expertise came from New York, local regulations and construction knowledge was based in St-Petersburg and Moscow, specialty engineering expertise came from Germany.
Due to the complexity of the project and the amount and location of firms in the design team, extensive management was required. This included clear definition of the deliverables of each team, managing the flow of information, running workshops with multiple design teams, giving client presentations representing the entire design team and managing the time plan.
Planning permission was granted in 2010 and the tower is scheduled for completion in 2018.
